This coffee shop has become a meeting place for so many young people in Chile where Jake stands ever ready to serve them coffee and engage in sharing the Gospel. But its not only young people, even professionals and more recently even Starbucks. Yup that's right, this roaster has build a name that even Starbucks is interested in learning what the secret sauce is.
Great things are happening in Chile and we at Global Advance get to be a part of helping young leaders expand their influence and reach for the Gospel.
COFFEE CULTURe -CHILE
Meet Jake. I met Jake last week while in Santiago Chile. I was there as part of our NextGen leadership training conference.
Jake has a masters in Intercultural Studies from Fuller, a masters in Governance and Sustainable Development from Staffordshire and degree in Philosophy from the University of California...oh and he started a "church" in a coffee shop.
Now if you ask me, I think that is a pretty cool idea. To some however, well they might think that you can't "do church" in a coffee shop.
Ok, that might be a fair statement. But here's what's interesting about a young leader that clearly is not some uneducated romantic - HIS IDEA IS WORKING!
