From the dusty villages in the rural Sindh province to the urban streets of Karachi, there is a church planting movement rising in present-day Pakistan. In May, Global Advance gathered frontline leaders to be trained to plant the Church as a visible representation of the rulership, authority, and Kingdom of God in this nation where a mere 0.6% of the population professes Christ.
In the face of Islamic persecution and Pakistan’s notorious blasphemy laws, those who seek to evangelize are targeted by radical Islamic groups. Despite the persecution Pakistani leaders endure on a daily basis, they are passionately committed to church planting in their nation. Scripture tells us that the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church. God is jealous for His Church, and it is with great anticipation that He waits for the Church to be made ready for His return!
Global Advance is working to strengthen the bride of Christ, and in Pakistan – through a partnership with indigenous leaders - we are beginning to see the advance of the Gospel and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We are planting churches in rural villages and urban cities that are founded on the clear proclamation of the Gospel. We are training pastors who call their people to a life of discipleship through the door of “repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
These are strategic days that call for action. Please pray for protection and open doors for the Church and His bride to flourish in Pakistan. Pray as Global Advance lifts the arms of kingdom coalition leaders who are working together from Pakistan to Sri Lanka, across India to Bangladesh, from Bhutan to Nepal. Thank you for your partnership that allows Global Advance to champion this church planting movement in South Asia and beyond.
